Perception and priming

A bit of light relief to start the new year. I've added a new page to my website with a couple of optical illusions - click here to view.

Although quite old and well known examples, they still illustrate very well the idea that what we see is determined by what we expect to see. This is true in all areas of our life. For example, if we expect to see a stubborn person, that is what we will see. And that is what determines how we treat them. For example we may push harder to overcome their expected resistance. Which may in turn cause then to resist strongly, behaving exactly as we expected. We get what we see!

Have fun trying them out. And feel free to share by passing on the link.
